Over the last episodes, we have covered so much ground so and I feel like we have so much further to go but I wanted to stop and share with you some of my favorite resources in form of books and podcasts.

I enjoy reading development books so it was hard to choose and I think I could have listed so many more but narrowed it down to ten.

My belief is reading has a huge influence on CEOs looking to grow and is the hallmark of success. Books help us develop discernment in business and the ones I intend to share with you will help you bridge the gap between personal and business finances.

I do believe that your personal and business finances are inextricably connected because they are highly dependent on each other. They are a lot of crossovers between them for instance if you know how to save in your personal, you definitely will do so in your business among others.

This is why I find myself reading a number of books to level up in both areas. Now if you are not a reader at the end, I share some of my favorite podcasts that you need to listen to.

MY TOP TEN BUSINESS BOOKS

Let’s start off with the books, I share my personal insight into each of these books to help you get an idea of what the book is about.

Here they are in Dave Letterman style;

10. Financial Peace by Dave Ramsey

When I and my husband started out as a couple, this book helped us to get our finances in order and if you are in a financial mess, this book gives you the kick in the pants to help you get everything back to where it is supposed to be.

9. The 12 Week Year by Brian P Moran and Michael Lennington

This book is valuable in helping one make attainable goals on a quarterly basis. The majority of us plan out our goals on a yearly basis and sometimes fall short by the end of the year.

As a business owner looking to grow to the 6-level income mark, ensuring that you assess your business quarterly is a huge up level and will help you start working on achieving things in a shorter time frame

8. Strengths Based Leadership by Tom Rath & Barry Conchie

When you buy this book, there is a coupon code to take the strength-based assessment and as a leader, this book will help you get an understanding of how well you can use your strength to run your business allowing you to get help in your areas of weakness.

7. The Pumpkin Plan by Mike Michalowicz

I love Mike Michalowicz and you will notice that he appears twice on this list. The Pumpkin plan in particular will help you identify what your pumpkin (signature offer) is and how best you can cultivate it to grow.

6. From 6 to Seven Figures Austin Netzley

Austin Netzley in this book offers simple and get-it-done strategies that can change your business operations and help you as a business owner level up in your finances.

5. The Seven Money Types by Tommy Brown

This is a Christian-based book and if you are not a Christian, this book may not apply to you. Tommy Brown compares how some of the main characters in the Bible deal with money and how we may have similar money personalities.

4. Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki

If you have been around anywhere in personal finance, this book is a classic and offers interesting lessons on how the rich and poor think. It will help with transforming your money mindset as a business owner/CEO.

3. Simple Numbers, Straight Talk, Big Profits by Greg Crabtree

I believe every entrepreneur should read this book and personally, it showed me how valuable it is to pay yourself.

2. Simple Money Rich Life by Bob Lotich

With a Christian context to it, this book shares financial tips and value in the areas of personal finance.

1. Profit First by Mike Michalowicz

This book tops my list and if you pick one book from this list, it should be this one. It offers a proactive plan for money in your business.
