THE MOST POWERFUL THING IN YOUR BUSINESS YOU ARE OVERLOOKING

In the quest for entrepreneurship, setting up your business on a strong foundation is of utmost importance and this means getting clear on what your mission, vision, and values are.

As a Certified Director of Operations, through the Ops Authority with Natalie Gringrich where I was equipped with the skills and experience to manage business operations, I realize how valuable the mission, vision, and values are.

WHAT DO A MISSION, VISION, AND VALUES DO FOR YOU?

  • They help you identify your why. This is the whole reason for what you do what you do
  • It also allows you to utilize your skills, gifts, and passion and fulfill your purpose with more efficiency and clarity
  • Enables us to maximize our time because we are more focused

HOW DO A MISSION, VISION, AND VALUES  HELP YOUR BUSINESS

  • Assists in the area of decision making enabling your business to stay on track without being distracted by trends or seasons
  • Offers a set of priorities that your business can attend to.
  • Give you a trajectory of your business and how you would like it to pan out.

MISSION

So what is a mission?

Your mission is very actionable, it is what you want to do. It has a major relation to your purpose and this can change with time however your mission will always stay on truck.

It should be just as impactful for you just as it is for your customers.

Here are a couple of examples of missions to showcase how actionable missions are supposed to be.

  • The Prosper Collective

At Prosper Collective we partner with 6-figure online service providers to deliver organizational and financial strategy that moves their business toward maximum impact and profit without making them crazy

We drop strategy like a bomb on their business processes and finances so that they can regain passion for their business and support freedom, lifestyle, and generosity in their personal world.

  • TED

Spread ideas

  • LinkedIn

  • Paypal

To build the world’s most convenient, secure payment solution.

Your mission helps you understand who you are, what you do and who you serve.

VISION

Your vision really describes your company as it would be in the future. It is aspirational as it allows you to paint a future of what your business will be in the future.

A vision is not necessarily public it is more of an eternal aspect within your business to guide it.

At The Prosper Collective, our vision is to equip small virtual business owners with strategy, and organizational and financial intelligence so they can follow their passions without inhibition.

My vision is in service to my family and allows me to utilize my skills to support them. Keep in mind that whatever your family’s vision is, it should serve your business’s vision.

Here are a couple of examples to help you draw inspiration for your vision:

  • BBC

To be the most creative organization in the world

  • Disney

To make people happy

  • Instagram

To capture the world’s moments

  • Nike

To  bring inspiration to every athlete in the world

  • Whole Foods

To nourish people in the planet

Visions are about pushing an ideal in the world and if you are having trouble creating one think about what a documentary of your business would be in the future at it’s most successful state.

VALUES

This is about giving people in your business a moral compass on how things are done

When thinking of your values, you need to ask yourself:

  • What are my core values?
  • What do I stand for?
  • What am I opposed to?
  • What’s important?
  • How do you want to treat people?

These questions helped me craft my values for The Prosper Collective. Here they are:

  • Honesty and Integrity

We will be honest with you and we expect honesty from you as well. We strive to demonstrate sound moral and ethical principles at all times

  • Problem solving and partnership

We want to learn from you just as much as you are learning from us.  We solve problems together and build each other up.  If we don’t know the answer we will go find it.

  • Kindness and Respect

We will always endeavor to treat everyone with the kindness and respect they deserve.  Since this tends to be missing in many business interactions, we hope this sets us apart and pleasantly surprises you.

Your values set the expectations of your clients on how your interactions will pan out and help narrow down who you want to work with or not.

GOAL SETTING

At the height of your mission, vision and values is your goals. Once you have them well aligned, it helps you plan out your goals enabling you to plan out what you need to accomplish to get you to your next step.

Once you have figured out your goals you can refer to The Financial Steadiness Pathway and the 5 Geneoristy Factors.

Are you ready to create your mission, vision, values, and goals? If you are, sit down with your biz bestie and get it done.

I hope this will help transform your business.
